Our specialist menopause retreat is led by a team of multi-disciplinary experts including our Doctor, Dr Tricia Saintey.

If you are experiencing difficulties with perimenopause or menopause or are looking for further information and expert knowledge in this area, then you are not alone – and we are here to help you.

Often you may feel isolated and not understood whilst trying to navigate through the perimenopause and menopause years. Our specialised menopause retreat programme and team of dedicated practitioners can help to support and guide you through this natural life cycle, and will empower you to manage this significant transition openly and positively – in a safe and peaceful environment.

This four-day programme will help you understand the ‘why’ of the many menopause symptoms that you may be
experiencing. We will give you specialised knowledge to help empower you to transition through this life phase with
positivity, and provide a range of supportive solutions from dietary and lifestyle to holistic and medical.

  • 1:1 check in screening with our menopause accredited naturopath Allison Sheppard

  • 1 hour menopause specific therapeutic massage with our accredited therapist Juliette Jones

  • Hormone balanced meals and fresh juices to nourish and support you through your stay

  • Daily menopause talks and workshops with our team including an HRT talk and Q&A with Dr Saintey

  • Hormone balanced food demos and recipes with our chefs

  • Menopause designed exercise classes such as menopause yoga, Pilates and pelvic health, holistic strength training methods to support bone and joint health and improve heart health.

DR PATRICIA SAINTEY
AMCHARA’S MEDICAL DOCTOR

A former army doctor, Dr Saintey has since undertaken a variety of studies looking into nutrition, homeopathy, craniosacral therapy and Integrative Medicine. Dr Saintey reviews all health questionnaires in addition to supporting the health team at Amchara. Dr Saintey’s patients are mainly menopausal women.

KAREN BOYLE
RETREAT FOUNDER

Karen Boyle is one of the Amchara founders and has been a researcher in the health and wellbeing industry for over 20 years. She is a holistic exercise specialist and a menopause wellness coach with a background in dance, fitness, Pilates, yoga and colon hydrotherapy.

ALLISON SHEPPARD
EXPERT MENOPAUSE NATUROPATH

Allison Sheppard is Amchara’s senior naturopath and accredited menopause practitioner. She has a first-class honours degree in Naturopathy and Health Sciences and a BSc in Psychology. Allison has been in clinical practice for 10 years and her speciality is work with menopause clients on hormone and gut health issues.

JULIETTE JONES
HOLISTIC MENOPAUSE THERAPIST

Juliette Jones is a holistic therapist and has worked in the health and wellness industry for 20 years. She is a menopause wellbeing practitioner, colon hydrotherapist and has trained specifically in menopause bodywork and anti-ageing therapies using essential oils and acupressure techniques.

REBECCA WHITTAKER
STRESS RELEASE THERAPIST

Rebecca Whittaker is an experienced stress release therapist and accredited coach. She uses somatic and neuroscientific approaches including TRE®, Havening Touch™, bodywork and mindset shifts to reset the system and effect long lasting change.

WENDY MCLAUGHLIN
MENOPAUSE WELLNESS COACH

Wendy McLaughlin is a menopause wellness coach and yoga practitioner. Her therapeutic approach and experience in breathwork, posture, relaxation and mindfulness allow Wendy to impart key tools to assist through all stages of menopause.
