Ingredient

1 head of Broccoli – well known for its cancer preventative phytonutrients, but also a powerful detoxifier, helping to get rid of the toxins that sap your energy. Rich in vitamin C and a great source of vitamin K and A as well as folic acid and fibre. Also contains magnesium, postassium, phosphorus and vitamins B6 and E. The B vitamins, magnesium and vitamin C are vital co-factors in energy production.
3 ribs of Celery – A great cleanser, high in organic sodium and contains anti-cancer coumarins as well as potassium calcium, folic acid and vitamin C and B3. Helps to lower blood pressure keeping your cardiovascular system in shape and may help to relieve migraines.
1-2 Green Apples cored – A great digestive aid. Apples act as a laxative, relieve constipation and reactivate the beneficial gut bacteria. Good for removing toxins and lowering cholesterol. They also contain vitamins A,B and C, Calcium, Magnesium & Phosphorous.
1 Lemon peeled – Where would we be without lemons and the heavenly flavour they impart…but also as a great source of vitamin C, B6, folic acid, potassium, flavonoids and the important phytochemical limonene which can help reduce heart burn and dissolve gallstones as well as being an effective cholesterol buster.
1 Courgette – A type of squash that is amongst the major players when it comes to anti-cancer benefits. A great source of carotenes too which will help protect your skin against the damaging effects of the sun. This summer squash is also rich in vitamin C, B1, B5, folic acid and potassium.
1 handful Baby Spinach or 1 Romaine Heart – Spinach is one of the most alkaline producing foods so great for regulating your body’s pH and is a strong protector against cancer due to its multitude of flavonoids that act as anti-cancer agents. Lettuce is a surprisingly rich source of vitamin A, C, B1, B2 and folic acid as well as chromium and manganese(the darker the leaf the more nutrient rich).
